Lincoln County Fair History
The Lincoln County Fair began some 60 years ago on the John Cash property in Stanford. In 1963 it moved to Harmon Heights on approximately 10 acres. There were about 30 members of the Lincoln County Fair Board, at this time the week consisted of one night of each of the following Dairy Show, Beef Show, Horse Show and Horse and Mule Pull.
The Lincoln County Fair is a nonprofit organization comprised of 275 members. This number grows during the fair week with an additional 100+ community volunteers and an attendance of over 25,000. There are now 4 District Agriculture Shows and 7 State Shows held on the grounds each year. A main event on the Motorsports Track each night and any given weekend from May through November the 60 acre Lincoln County Fair Complex is used for Fair Board Events, agricultural and school programs as well as company, church and family gatherings. The Lincoln County Fair in combination with the Lincoln County Fair Board has been at its present location since 1988 and is proud to have been selected most progressive fair in the state the past twelve years.
The Lincoln County Fair is a grassroots organization dedicated to preserving and promoting agriculture and family traditions. We are proud to work with the Kentucky Association of Fair and Horse Shows in raising money for their scholarship fund as well as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. We strive to provide many family oriented activities.
We encourage you to visit the Lincoln County Fairgrounds during the annual Fair or at any other scheduled event throughout the year.
